The Ice Bar - Sweet Dreams in Regensburg

The"Kuchenbar" in Stadtamhof in Regensburg is a small but fine institution in Regensburg. The small café on the corner of Marktstraße is not large, but all the better frequented for it - the few tables inside and outside are much sought after, the queue at the take-away counter is long. The reason is as simple as it is delicious: the cakes, tarts and tartes that the team around owner Tom Winter has been conjuring up here for years are simply sensational and have long ceased to be a mere insider tip among Regensburg students. Customers should be all the more pleased that Tom now offers an equally small but fine ice cream kiosk right next door under the name "Eisbar"

And the great thing for us? We were allowed to accompany the project and equip the "ice bar" with the technology.

Technology: Made by Krä

The ice cream laboratory, the heart of the ice cream bar, is perfectly equipped to meet the special needs and high quality standards of the team: The Carpigiani Maestro not only makes perfect ice cream, but also ensures creamy, long-lasting ice cream and the optimum flavour development of nut and chocolate varieties thanks to the built-in pasteurisation function. In addition, the Maestro also allows Tom and his team to make their own sauces and variegatos for the creative ice cream varieties - it can even be used to make creams and jams. The perfect laboratory is rounded off by a Blast freezerwhich optimally thermoseals the fresh ice cream and preserves the high air impact - so the ice cream stays creamy.

The ice cream ispresented in a FB Virna ice cream counter. Uniform temperature distribution and a high air flow ensure that the lovingly decorated ice cream is still perfectly presented in the counter even at the end of a long sales day.

Classics and innovative creations - Aperol-Mango, Amarena-Brownie and Lemon-Bergamot

Sweet Dreams: Made by Eisbar

A variety of original and own ice cream creations are tempting: in addition to the classics such as vanilla and pistachio , you will find changing, creative own creations such as polenta blueberry, lemon bergamot, amarena brownie or the "breakfast ice cream", quasi the muesli for licking. Here you can see that Tom - although actually a newcomer to ice cream - has both talent and knowledge: he brings his experience as a confectioner with him, he acquired his specialist knowledge about ice cream during his work in the ice cream shop, and the boys have a lot of creativity. Gelato University professional course and the boys have more than enough creativity anyway.

By the way, we were really impressed by the lovely decoration of the ice cream bowls: In the lemon and bergamot ice cream there is a carved lemon mouse, in the chocolate banana a hedgehog made of banana, grapes and toothpicks. The cake bar team simply knows perfectly how to "seduce" the customer into buying, because You don't need ice cream, you want it!

The ice cream bar decorations are a dream - we love the blackberry hedgehog!

And how does it taste?!

And how does it taste now? Unfortunately, we couldn't try all the flavours, but the "breakfast ice cream" and pear-ginger definitely get a "thumbs up " from us - we were thrilled. So we can only recommend it to everyone: Take a look, it's worth it!

We wish the ice cream bar team every success and are already looking forward to trying the next creations!
