Clothes make the man - colours and materials make furnishings

The famous saying "Clothes make the man" can also be applied to café interiors: "Disguises make interiors". Just as a person can look sometimes sporty, sometimes elegant, sometimes casual and sometimes inconspicuous, depending on his or her style of dress, the style of an otherwise completely identical interior can also be changed significantly via a few elements - colors, style and material of the coverings, choice of display cases and back wall structures.

By the way, the pictures below all invite you to play - just try to slide the pictures to the left or right and see how the complete effect of the cafés and ice cream parlors changes!

Example 1: Poppy or "Shabby Chic"?

In the first example, you can see a classic ice cream parlor that gives a completely different impression with two different material and color concepts. Once in a variant with lacquered, glossy surfaces and eye-catching pastel colors - the whole decor is reminiscent of a candy and looks young, pop and modern. The second variant of the café uses completely different elements: real wood fronts, black granite worktops, blackboards, Italian tiles as well as glazed wooden elements give the whole café a completely different character - and appear quasi "pre-patinated", with a discreet vintage look ("shabby chic") like a noble designer jeans. Which variant did the customer finally choose? You can see for yourself at Eiscafé Freitag in Zwickau...

Example 2: Discreet or playful?

Our second example is a classic ice cream kiosk, a pure street vending without seating. And even though the changes here are much more discreet, they still have a clear impact on the character of the kiosk: Once in a very classic, discreet variant only in the colors gray and white - straightforward and without gimmicks. The second variant, on the other hand, in black and white with green light bands, immediately creates a different image despite only relatively minor changes. And here, too: Anyone who would like to know which variant won the race in the end need only go to Rosenheim and take a look at the Cremino ice cream parlor.

Example 3: Showcases make people

In our third example actually changes a little more: the ice cream display case model, the back wall structure, the front paneling and the floor. But here again: the layout of the store and the structure of the front and rear counters remain completely the same. In the first variant with classic ice cream display case with white front paneling, counter paneling in concrete look, straight back wall superstructure and with floor in wood look, the store looks bright and classic. In variant 2, with the new IFI Milia counters in black, the individual back wall construction, the front in wood look and the darker floor, the café looks much more unusual. And here, too: Which version the operator has chosen, you will see from mid-March 2020 in the beautiful Büchlberg in Lower Bavaria in the ice cream cafe La Fantasia.

Variant2: Modern and unusual

Conclusion: Yes, disguises make facilities!

No matter which variant you personally think is the more beautiful: You can clearly see that you can "conjure up" quite different locales from one and the same furnishing, counter or café with different colors, materials and shapes. That's why we always stick to this: First, we agree on the technical layout of a project - so that walkways and working paths, shelves, workstations and capacities fit. Then, together with you, we agree on the look and thus the atmosphere of the location. And if you are also interested in your own new project and would like to plan a new store together with us - just contact us. And in the meantime, feel free to have a look at one or the other furnishing example on our homepage!
